Prominent secular turned gospel artist Linet Munyali aka Size 8 Reborn was on Sunday the 12th December, ordained to pastor. The event held at the Jesus Celebration Center Thika where she has been ministering. The elated artist took to social media to announce the good news and even live streamed the ordination event for her fans to watch.
Size 8 as she was called in her secular music days was popular for her singles shamba boy and moto. She had been groomed and nurtured by the famous producer Clemo of the Calif Records.
It is during her 3 year stint in the secular music arena that her star shone, enabling her earn lucrative deals and endorsements with companies such as Safaricom. Despite all the success, size 8Reborn hinted that she felt depressed and sad. This prompted her to quit the secular industry and venture into gospel industry.
Upon her debut to the gospel industry, she changed her name to size8 Reborn, married her husband popular Dj Mo. She continued with her music albeit doing gospel. Her popular gospel tracks include Mateke, Moto, Jemedari, Yuko na wewe and her most recent Jidhihirishe. Currently, her career is still stable and her prospects even better. For instance, she has endorsements with Softcare as its diapers and pads brand ambassador.
In a post on her Instagram she highlighted that her ordination was through God’s grace, Size 8reborn recalled the journey that culminated to her ordination as a movie. Adding that the journey she had begun in 2013 when she accepted Christ, 5 years later went to bible school had 8 years later led her to become an ordained preacher.
Size8 Reborn who graduated from Harvesters Global Church Bible Training School in November 2018 did not become ordained to pastor then until this Sunday. In a colorful event attended by celebs like Kabi and Millie wa Jesus, Size8Reborn danced flanked by the other graduands to accept the alter call.
Mama Wambo aka size8reborn posted on IG that nay sayers had thought she wouldn’t last long in her salvation journey and well, it had been 8 years of God’s grace. Size8 Reborn went ahead to thank her parents the Munyali’s her pastors Kelvin and Jackie Ephraim and her husband DjMo.
She also expressed her gratitude to God for the grace that saved her from secular world and dedicated her ordination as a gift to God. Her fans and celebs all took to her social media accounts to congratulate her as her husband pledged to support her all through the journey. We can only wish her well.
